- Arrive in Delhi at 9:20 pm (Yes, a whole day later) Indian time is 9 1/2 hours ahead of our time. So, doing the math, travel time is 15 1/2 hours. That's still a long time!
- I hope to be awake enough to appreciate the "traditional welcome" of Atithi Devobhava" which means they treat guests like God.
- Ladies dressed in Indian garb give garlands of fresh flowers and "arti" occurs as flower petals are showered on guests. I will be anointed with the red "tiki".
- Meet with representatives from Hood College, a premier academic institution.
- Focus on national curriculum, math teacher preparation, math literacy for some or all, technology
- Meet with representatives at the Sanskriti School, a public service oriented, non-profit organization
- Focus on math on elementary level and technology
- Tour the ancient city of Old and New Delhi
- Contemplate Gandhi's life a the memorial Raj Ghat
- Ride a rickshaw to see Red Fort and Jama Masji
- Visit the Sagar School, a co-educational, residential school
- Math at the middle level and technology
- Travel to Jaipur
- Tour Jaipur
- See ancient capital of Amber and the Amber Fort
- See Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal), City Palace, Jantar Mantar Astronomical Observatory
- Meet with representatives at the Su Bodh Public School, a senior secondary English medium co-ed school with 3500 studnets and 200 teachers
- Focus on secondary math, standardized tests in India, What drives high level of math performance in India?
- Afternoon: Meet with St. Xavier's Senio Secondary School, a Catholic Boys School.
- Focus on math content for future of secondary levels, technology, professional expectations of math teachers
- Travel to Agra
- Visit Fatehpur Sikri on the way
- View Taj Mahal
- Visit Agra Fort
- Return to Delhi
